About Dr Bongi Rubushe-Ngwenya
I am Dr. Bongi Rubushe-Ngwenya, a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist dedicated to advancing women's health. With a focus on endoscopy and reproductive medicine, I am committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to all women. My work spans both the public and private sectors, where I deliver specialized medical services to ensure the best outcomes for my patients.
My medical journey began with an MBBCH from Wits University, followed by extensive training and specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. My dedication to continuous learning led me to pursue additional training, including a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) in India and certifications from GESAE.
I am actively involved in several professional associations such as SAATOG, SASOG, and WATOG. I have held significant roles, including African Representative on the WATOG Executive, Chairperson of SAATOG, and President of the Wits Endoscopy Training Unit. Additionally, I have contributed to the global medical community through presentations at FIGO Global Webinars and chairing sessions at international conferences.
Teaching is at the heart of my professional mission. I facilitate multiple educational platforms to assist trainees and young specialists in mastering endoscopy. As the Wits Registrar Coordinator and a member of the Wits Registrar Wellness Committee, I support the growth and well-being of future medical professionals.
I have a profound interest in reproductive medicine and firmly believe that everyone has the right to make informed decisions about their reproductive health without judgment or prejudice. My approach centers on patient education, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

We are dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care in obstetrics and gyneacology, with a particular emphasis on endoscopy, reproductive medicine and endocrine disorders in gynaecology
